Angelo P. Ruehmkorff Director of Family Services & Pre-planning
Angelo Ruehmkorff has been a member of the Ziemer Funeral Home team since 2003. Angelo is a native of Newburgh, Indiana and he graduated from Memorial High School in 1991. He graduated from the University of Southern Indiana in 1995. Angelo has a lovely wife, Vanessa and two loving boys, Austin and Samuel. Angelo is an member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church. He enjoys spending time with his family, running and cycling. Angelo is the Director of Family Services at Ziemer Funeral Home. Many visitors to Ziemer Funeral Home know how special Angelo is, as part of the Ziemer team. Angelo is capable of leadership and yet possesses a friendly, outgoing spirit. Angelo’s personality allows him to rise to the challenge of managing, while maintaining a gentle, peaceful ambiance —creating an atmosphere of love and kindness for those who he serves. "Every time I help a family pre-plan, it gives me great satisfaction to know that the children will not have to make these arrangements on one of the worst days of their lives." Angelo believes that families should make these choices together rather than alone.
Chris Lewis
Chris is a native of Princeton, IN. He is a graduate of Princeton Community High School in 1984 and Vincennes University School of Funeral Service in 1986. Chris is a member of Good Sheperd Catholic Church and is also a member of the Knights of Columbus. He and his wife, Mary Ellen (Hasler) enjoy watching Cardinal baseball and NASCAR. Chris enjoys music, plays several instruments, and has played in several bands over the years. He has worked for Ziemer Funeral Home for over twelve years.
Linda Katz
Linda has been with Ziemer Funeral Home since 1988. Linda and her husband Sam enjoy entertaining with family and friends as well as going on cruises several times throughout the year. She has three wonderful sons, Randy, who is an Iron Worker out of Local 103, Sammy, who is the newest member of the Ziemer Funeral Home family, and Steven, who is a sophomore at North High School. Linda is an integral part of the day to day operations for all three of our locations.
Matt Kopshever
Matthew is a native of Pinckneyville, IL and became a resident of the greater Evansville area in 1999. Matthew has been with Ziemer Funeral Homes since 2000. He is a 1997 graduate of the University of Kentucky where he received a degree in Art Education and a 1999 Graduate of the Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science where he received a Bachelors degree in Mortuary Science. When Matthew is not helping the families in his community he enjoys spending time with his wife, Shanna (Voegel), and their lovely daughter Katherine Paige. He also enjoys hunting, camping, and hiking. Matthew’s sincerity, contagious smile, warm friendliness, and caring attitude are appreciated not only by the staff of Ziemer Funeral Home, but by everyone who knows him.
Mike Schminke
Mike is a native of Evansville, IN. He attended Scott Elementary School and graduated from Central High School in 1980. He also attended Indiana University and the University of Southern Indiana. After many years in the automobile industry,Mike has now been assisting families with their arrangements for 7 years.
Mike is a firm believer that those who make their arrangements in advance allow their family members, friends and loved ones the greatest gift during their time of grief…peace of mind. Those who pre-arrange also have that peace of mind knowing the emotional needs of family, friends, and loved ones are met and they will not be burdened with the numerous details of arranging a funeral service. They will be assured that with Mike’s compassionate personality he will effectively assist them with all their needs throughout the entire process.
Mike & his wife Yvette have been married 22 years and have a 19 year-old daughter Bailey. Bailey attends Murray State University where she is majoring in Biology with hopes to enter med school. Mike and Yvette enjoy spending many spring, summer and fall weekends at Indian Point on beautiful Lake Barkely.
Mike enjoys boating, golf and is an avid Indianapolis Colts, St. Louis Cardinals and Indiana University basketball fan. He also enjoys spending time with Yvette and Bailey and the rest of his family, who all reside on the northside of Evansville.
Norm Hunter
Norman, a native of Lawrenceburg Indiana, has been at "Home in Evansville" since 1958. He is a graduate of The Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science and completed a degree in business at Lockyear College.
Norman enjoys being involved in his church, Bethel Temple Community Church, where he is an assistant teacher in the Bible Fellowship Hour. He and his wife, Jo Ann assist with the church's local activities when missionaries spend some time "back home". Norman says that his two foregin mission trips to Haiti are a experiences that he will never forget.
He joined the Ziemer Staff in 1997. Norman often comments that if he had been a steeple jack, he would had to have retired some time ago. However, funeral service permits him to continue to work in his chosen profession and be serving families at the time of the loss of a loved one as well as with families when they are planning their arrangements ahead.
In his spare time, Norman enjoys working with his computer, camping and going to yard sales. He says that "serving and ministering to those who are experiencing the loss of a loved one" is what he finds most satisfying about his job.
Norman and his wife, Jo Ann, (Daly), have four daughters; Kathryn Perdue, Deborah Goldblatt, Nancy Sandefur and Leanne Kelle. Every chance they get, they enjoy being with their seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
Sammy Katz
Sammy is the newest member of the Ziemer Funeral Home Staff. Sammy grew up in Wadesville, Indiana and at the age of 13, he and his family moved to Evansville. He graduated from William Henry Harrison High School in 2009. Sammy loves the outdoors and enjoy's fishing and playing sports. "Although only recently introduced to the funeral industry I take great pride in serving the families of my community and helping them through one of the most difficult times in their lives".
Scott Tenhumberg
Scott is a native of Evansville where he graduated from F.J. Reitz High School in 1989. He graduated with honors from Vincennes University where he received his Associates of Science in Funeral Service in 1995. Scott attends church at Crossroads Christian Church and is a member of Elks Lodge 206. Scott is a licensed funeral director in Indiana, Kentucky, and Tennessee. He enjoys boating, mountain biking, and snow skiing. Scott has been a valued member of the Ziemer Funeral Home staff since 2003.
William Hill Funeral Director
Bill who grew up in an Army family and lived in Evansville for many years where he graduated from North High School, he currently lives in Newburgh, IN. He is a graduate of Mid-America School of Funeral Service in Jeffersonville, In. in 2006. He is a member of the Pi Sigma Eta National Morticians Fraternity and was the President of his graduating class. Bill, his wife Stacey (Wilson) and daughter Sarah enjoy camping and visiting Holiday World. Bill is the newest addition to the Ziemer Funeral Director staff starting in 2006.
