|Rosemary Grzyb, 83, passed away on September 13, 2013, at Deaconess Hospice Care.
Rosemary was born in Evansville, Indiana, to Edward and Ruby Ryan. She grew up in a small house on the west side of Evansville with her parents, sister, Mildred, and brothers, Clarence, Sidney, Jack, Robert, Fred, and John. Rosemary attended Central High School in Evansville. Rosemary was married to Stanley Joseph Grzyb, of Lowell, Massachusetts.
Rosemary worked at Rieckenís Shoes for 20 years as a pedorthist. Rosemary had specialized training to recommend appropriate corrective footwear. She had many customers who would call and ask for her specifically. Rosemary fit many area children in their first walking shoes and helped numerous adults who had special fitting problems find comfortable shoes. Following her career with Rieckenís Shoes, Rosemary worked as a receptionist at Ziemer Funeral Homes. Rosemary is grateful to have worked with wonderful people at both Rieckenís Shoes and Ziemer Funeral Homes.
Rosemaryís favorite job was being a mother to her four children. Rosemary was a devoted mother who enjoyed being involved with her childrenís various activities. Her greatest joy was in raising her family.
Rosemary was a member of Ladiesí Auxiliary VFW Post 2953. She especially liked helping to decorate for their special events.
Rosemary is survived by daughter and son-in-law, Debbie and Danny Dean, of Carmel, IN; son and daughter-in-law, David and Jennifer Grzyb, of Madison, AL; daughter and son-in-law, Gloria and Chris French, of Evansville, IN; granddaughter, Katie Lamb, of Franklin, TN; granddaughter, Kendall Grzyb, of Atlanta, GA; great-grandson, Nate Lamb, of Franklin, TN; brother, John Ryan, of Evansville, IN; sisters-in law, Romell Ryan of Evansville, IN; Patty Ryan of Evansville, IN; Hy Ryan of Chiefland, FL., and Mary Ryan of Evansville, IN., as well as many nieces and nephews.
Rosemary was predeceased by her husband of 43 years, Stanley Grzyb; daughter, Christine Fuchs; and sister, Mildred Jeude, and brothers ,Sidney Ryan, Clarence Ryan, Fred Ryan, Jack Ryan, and Robert Ryan.
Visitation will be held at Ziemer Funeral East Chapel, 800 S. Hebron Ave., Monday, September 16 from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm and will continue on Tuesday from 10:00 am until at 11 am.
Funeral services will begin at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home on Tuesday, September 17, 2013 with Father Gordon Mann officiating.
Burial will be at Oak Hill Cemetery.
