Thelma E. Corn, 93, of Evansville passed away Wednesday February 5, 2014 at Braun Nursing Home. She was born March 24, 1920 in Evansville to Alex and Elizabeth (Keil) Stippler.

Thelma formerly worked at Hoosier Cardinal, Country School Restaurant and retired from Holy Redeemer Cafeteria after 45 years. She was a member of Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, SWIRCA, the ladies auxiliary at Germania Maennerchor and Evansville Athletic Club. She enjoyed playing bingo, attending events at SWIRCA, baseball, the Don Mattingly Club and was a U of E basketball fan. She was a loving mother, grandmother and sister.

Thelma was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Corn in September 1989; sister, Esther Culver; brothers, Alex, Gilbert and Richard Stippler.

She is survived by her son, Jack Corn (Phyllis); daughter, Carolyn Knopfmeier (Howard) all of Evansville; grandson Kent Knopfmeier of Norman, OK; sister, Janette (Spitz) Wempe; sister-in-law, Mildred Stippler and nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 2:00 - 8:00 pm Sunday February 9, 2014 at Ziemer Funeral Home North Chapel, 6300 N First Ave., Evansville, IN 47710 with a memorial service at 7:00 pm. Visitation will continue from 10:30 - 11:00 am Monday at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, 918 W Mill Rd, Evansville, IN 47710.

A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11:00 am Monday February 10, 2014 at the church with Fr. Paul Ferguson officiating.

Entombment will be at St. Joseph Mausoleum.
