|Winifred “Winnie” Rose (Coudret) Kissel, 89, of Evansville passed away Wednesday January 16, 2013 at Heritage Center.
Winnie was born September 3, 1923 to Adolph and Vaneta Coudret. She retired from Spalding Food Center as the delicatessen manager in 1985. She was a member of St. Boniface Catholic Church, the St. Ann Alter Society, a former member of St. Anthony Church, VFW 1114 Ladies Auxiliary and Twin Towers. Winnie enjoyed working for the funeral dinners at St. Boniface and playing Tripoly with her wonderful friends. She was an avid fan of St. Louis Cardinals Baseball and IU Basketball.
Winnie was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Irvin; brothers Robert and William Coudret and step sister, Dorothy Lampkins.
She is survived by her son, Roger (Linda Rushing) Kissel; daughter, Phyllis (Danny) Pate all of Evansville, IN; grandchildren, Rhonda Langelotti of Gloucester, VA, Joseph (Mitzi) Kissel of Highlands Ranch, CO, Clifford (Angela) Pate of Huntsville, AL and Charles (Logan Wink) Pate of Cincinnati, OH; six great grandchildren, Anthony and Alexander Langelotti, Kayden Kissel, Lauren, Abby and Emmett Pate; step sister, Betty Zeller; step brother, Donald Jourdan both of Evansville, IN; sister-in-law, Ceil Coudret; sister-in-law, Betty (John) Schapker and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 2:00 – 8:00 pm Friday January 18, 2013 at Ziemer Funeral Home Central Chapel, 626 N. First Ave., Evansville, IN 47710 with a Rosary service at 6:30 pm. Visitation will continue from 10:00 – 11:00 am Saturday at St. Boniface Catholic Church, 418 N. Wabash Ave., Evansville, IN 47712.
A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11:00 am Saturday January 19, 2013 at the church with Fr. Tony Kissel (God Son) and Fr. Kenny Herr officiating.
Entombment will be at St. Joseph Mausoleum.
The family would like to thank the staff of Heritage Center and Heritage Hospice for their kind and compassionate care of Winnie.
